There are bad days where anything works... The black night´s darkness is on my back and... me, I am lonely again, lonely like the prey in front the predator. Well, at this moment, I consider myself like a dead, dead in but alive out.

I guess it is me the problem, I must accept my role in life, I must learn to accept the things. I... don´t... know.

Today, I am tired, lonely, anything works,  in my head, of course.

However, it is the remember of one frozen kiss in the past, a missed word in the time et thousands of broken promises beneath the Hell´s cold.

Finally, life is sum with 2 words: victory and defeat. Someone is victorious and another one, well, you know what they are. Me, I do think the second team belongs to me. No by own initiative. Not at all. I guess that it is a kind of "natural selection".

If I could write again, if I could say her loving you, if I had a kiss from her, if I had a job after so many years of formation,  if I wasn´t lonely...

 Blah, blah, that makes no sense.  You punish yourself, you hide yourself, you close your mouth. Finally you believe in. Look at your shoulders, we are closer to last eve of this year, everybody is happy. And you, you. You are like always! You say something with no sense,  you think about stupid things. You won´t never change! Listen to this! You breath! You keep on alive! So, fight against your situation, accept the challenge. Loneliness is just a moment, a week and quick moment which dies like the company you missed to. You know that, you know life is like a way on grounds, on the forest, on mountains.  Sometimes, you will be on the beach. Another time, you will be in a way covered by sharp rocks and you will be barefoot. And another time, you couldn´t choose a way between 2 routes. Listen to this asshole, life is just one person, one person who lives in yourself. Yes, you don´t believe me but it is like this way. Life isn´t a dream, life is yourself, your ideas, your thoughts, your feelings. Do you know the most people is more dead or certainly dead? Yes, because they can´t think, they can´t have feelings. Oh my god! Breath, breath, because you are alive and me... Me, I am not exist, can you see? I am not exist but I am telling you exist like an alive being. Don´t look at me like that! I can see your eyes. I know everything is very different, that it isn´t easy for yourself,  without her, with anybody, without future.  Haven´t you thought that it is just a day where anything works? Tomorrow, next day or next years, you will be free, you could see the past and you could say that you had been loved her (or maybe that you love her yet), that you had been loved her but you didn´t know how to maintain and, by consequence, you will be learned what you haven´t never do. Go out now. I am waiting for you and I am longing for sleep but you don´t want to. It doesn´t matter a year with anyone. It doesn´t matter! It doesn´t matter you don´t consider special each day. A day, a day you will be heard me and I speak seriously. Baf, I am going to sleep.

Hi to everybody! Nice to write again a few words on this blog.

First, I would like to say you Happy Christmas and have a nice eve on 31th December. It is true that it sounds odd the way I say it.

Well, today I would write about a Spanish Tradition. However, it isn´t a holiday. 28th December  is the day of "El día de los Santos Inocentes". A day where anybody can make jokes with the people. In a certain way is very similar to the Fool´s day on 1st April in UK.

Wow, It is curious because the British use the word "fool" and the Spaniards "innocent".

Furthermore, in that day there is an specific tradition in a little village of Valencia´s Region, I guess. In that village (Ibis), some strange guys called "els farinats" give out the power from politics and they can govern until the Dawn. So, they made non-sense laws, for example, it is forbidden to stay on the street, to have shops opened or closed and so on. However, everybody that doesn´t follow their rules will be punished to have on their body a mixture made of flour and eggs.
Moreover, there is a weird battle where weapons are flour, eggs and fireworks.

I don´t know very well because, as you imagine, Spain has a lot of traditions according to which Region.

22th December: The Lottery Day (Spanish traditions)

Good night to all! Yeah, I am here again. Today because I want to speak you about today. Uh, well, about yesterday because It is 00.24 am in these moments.

So, today (yesterday) had been one of the most days throughout a year: The Lottery day or the "El Gordo " (The fat man) Day!

In Spain, during all the year, people are buying lottery´s papers by that day. It is an usual present to their work mates, their friends, their families. Whoever.

Nearly the majority is waiting for that day with the dream of being rich, of change their luck, in order to stop and change their current situation. Otherwise, you could find people waiting in 4 hours queues at Madrid´s streets, until one day ago. People is crazy!!!

Well, and what is people doing on such day? It is very simple. Everybody is watching TV or listening to the radio to double-check if they had had any luck.

Furthermore, the numbers are sang by children with no parents and there is a lot of people who wants to watch in live. Some people goes with odd customs and, as a result, many spectators watch TV for that reason.

Personally, I don´t join because I find that like a way to lose money because it is very difficult to have luck and I think it is better to spend money in other things, and with more senses at this crisis time. Therefore, today I switch off TV and radio, I don´t listen the radio because , as you guess, they are speaking all the day about. It is frustrating.

So, today (yesterday) I had left my English study to visit one person, one important and especial person to me, nearly an angel. I could see that favorite landscape based on Madrid´s Region´s mountains, with their green color and with their smile... And finally, I am here dreaming of but it has no sense to dream because I know the true reality and, life keep on being life, with huge defeats and with little victories.

Well, I´m going to leave you because I have finished listening a strange bird song from New Zealand, the Kokako!!! He gives me relax.  Have a good day!

North Korea, another world

Hi to everybody! We are more and more closer to Christmas time. While a lot of people are buying the last presents, the US, Japan and South Korea´s citizens are worried about the evolution of North Korea after Kim Jong II died in this week. But, is it true a possible nuclear war?

Well, I do recognize it isn´t a simple question because nearly nobody knows about North Korea. Uh, okay, we know they are a nuclear power in the world and they are "war" lovers because of the most militarized society in the world. We don´t know any else.

In this summer, I have the amazing opportunity to being in a cycle of conferences about Asia and their past, present and future reality. Furthermore, I had the pleasure of being present at the speech of one of the few experts about North Korea. He has got the chance of working like a teacher in a North Korea university and he has also a medal from North Korea régime. He is a curious man, that is true.

So, it is possible that someone know better what I am going to say but I believe I can open people´s eyes to know better the reality of this country.

First, in order to understand the North Korean we must note that they haven´t a political state. So, it changes any analysis we could make. It is more like a religion. Yeah, I am speaking seriously, Kim Jong II was a God for them. So, it is normal you find a picture of each room in any home. They believe in the president like a divinity.

Therefore, we can guess stronger opposition against all that tries to change their ideas because someone isn´t against a dictator, s/he is against their God. In addition, we can see their incredible faith because 3,000,000 of people are died because of the lack of food, for instance, but they keep on believing. So, we can understand the idea about they live in a deep religion. I guess you have seen how people is crying at TV. However, they are bad consequences because the North Korean don´t make anything in their own, they need someone tells them what they must do in each moment.

Second, nearly 60% of population have nutritional problems, maybe because they can´t produce enough food or whatever.

Third, they love communism as you will know. For this reason, their only ally is China.

Fourth, they have one of the hugest armies in the world and, of course, they have the atomic bomb. Nevertheless, according to recent NATO´s reports they have an old army and, moreover, they no have money or goods to maintain their vehicles. So, if there is a war between North Korea and South Korea, South Korea could win without any problem. Okay, the big risk is the atomic just in case.

To sum up, I would like to note that a war with such country is easier than journal thought against an advanced army like the South Korean, the Japanese or also the US. However, I think there haven´t yet been a war for a one reason. Could you imagine 40 extra millions of people in South Korea? 40 millions of people who need to be ordered by somebody, like a robot? It must be frustrating to become free in a modern and advanced society to them, in a society with no God State, with no picture of Kim Jong, where no one says to you what you must think and do. But, dare you to observe the economic issue for South Korea?

Imagine 40 millions of people unemployed who raise the unemployment rate in an economic world power. Persons who need to change their mind. There will be a social drama and unsustainable for the main ships and trains exporter in the world. And, of course, there is a lot of benefits at risk in South Korea for most countries. So, I do think US troops haven´t done anything to avoid such hard possible situation.

Christmas meals in Spain

Hi to all again! Today I feel very happy but I don´t know why. I believe it could be possible I am like this way because I don´t stop.

Unfortunately, despite I had had an invitation for a climate change conference and I sent the confirmation, I don´t have a ticket. It is a pity because I was feeling like being present at this conference which is a part of Durban conference but with goals and aims for Spain, here at Madrid. Well, it is usual that someone with better formation or more important than me has a ticket first.

If you like, we will speak about something different. I am not sure whether if you know already or it is also frequent, the fact of having a meal with your work mates or your friends at these times before the classical meals with your family ( 24th December dinner, 25th December and 6th January lunchs). Well, here in Spain, there is such tradition. Hence, employers and employees have a meal to celebrate these times and, of course, there is one similar with friends.

So, it is a opportunity of meeting better your work mates out of job and of speaking about other different subjects. Yeah, it is truth that there is some risk. For instance,  if you were drunk and you talk nonsense with your boss closer, you would begin to wish having any luck after your huge action.

In the other hand, there are such reunions with your fiends. A perfect moment to meet them in this  stressed world. Indeed, I have one with my brother´s friends. Unfortunately, it is in Foxter Hollywood, an usual and expensive restaurant in comparison to others cheaper and more original but it is the group choice.

Christmas decoration in Spain

Hi to all another time!! Currently, we are more and more closer to Christmas time. You can walk on the street and you can see shops´ windows decorated, public lights and, of course, there is such particular smell of roast chestnuts. Moreover, there is such cold in the air, with clouds of breathes. Nearly the majority of trees has lost their leaves and Madroño tree(Arbustus unedo) is in fruit. A particular evergreen tree and before common tree in Madrid Region with their red fruits similar to Chinese Lychee(Litchi chinensis) in shape, that probably you may taste because of some chinese restaurant, but surprisingly in English is called as the strawberries-tree. Anyway,I would note that such tree is Madrid city´s symbol with the company of a she-bear, though there is no bear in these moments and is lower and lower Madroño´s distribution. Whatever...

So, we can speak about another subject. Indeed, I was surprised of Santa´s Parades in North America. Because I have some acquaintances from Canada and they told to me 2 weeks ago that they were in one on Toronto (Canada´s capital). I don´t know if it is often in North America to wait until November to do "Winter Parades" but here, in Spain, we have our Christmas Parades on January. So, why are Santa´s Parades made one month before Christmas in North America? Indeed, I remember one in New York City during thanksgiving day according TV news.

Maybe it is very simple to figure out because it is certain that since November everybody begins to buy gifts, goods and decoration and, as it is more and more often to associate holidays with commercial activity, maybe the reason is to improve commercial balance. I don´t know.

Otherwise, I remember now, while I am typing, that these acquaintances told me that is possibly because of cold because they had a lot of cold on November. Thus, with the Parade on November, they avoid snowy environment and more cold. One thing, I am not very sure because such acquaintances are from Spain and they lived 8 months on Toronto. So, I have the doubt.

Today I have set up the post entry before writing and, okay, you will say: he has forgotten the title. Yeah, I don´t because I would introduce to how Christmas is in Spain.

Friday, I could see "El Belen" in my village centre but what is the Belen? "El Belen" is a sort  of representation of Jesus born. It is a diorama, a scenario with several buildings, some Romans, some figures of such Age, the Three Wise Men and Jesus and their parents. So, according to the tradition, each family begins to decorate their belen. Somebody build it and nearly the huge majority buy it. Anyway, each Belen has different common things such as the Three Wise Men, Jesus´s parents, their animals and the Star (the Star that guided Three Wise Men to Jesus). Maybe you make yourself the following question: and the Child, where is he? Okay, according to the tradition, we place the child in such representation on 24th December when "he borns". For example, in mass of "El gallo" (coquerel) on midnight 24th to 25th December the priest places the child on Belen of the Church. The most curious is  tradition exists from IV century and each person choose how he/she wants to configure their Belen, if they wanted one small, one bigger, with waterfalls, with Romans, with building, which ones figures they will use an so on. Nevertheless, it is more often to watch one in a mall or in a city building (which are the bigger Belen) because modern times make people more lazy and, of course, it is easier to buy a Christmas tree with their decoration, in spite of one home can have a Belen based on Jesus´s parents and Jesus (after 24th) and there is a huge variety of prices.

In the other hand here there wasn´t Santa but Three Wise Men. So, on 6th January there are the gifts because they had left to each children if the children had been good boys (or girls) along the year. However, if they were bad, they have no gifts but a piece of coal. As you can imagine, I guess each children has any gift, despite of economic hole of these moments. I guess I speak about one day before 5th January.

Unfortunately, we lose our traditions because of American fashion. So, we use more and more frequent the Christmas tree and we make gifts on 24th December and don´t on 6th January. It is a pity but times are changing and we must accept without forgetting our past.

The magical dream

Hi another time!! So here I am. I could speak about  shark´s liking in China; Bisphenol A issue at America and at Europe; the scientific fight in Antarctic Region between Russia, UK and USA but sincerely I don t feel like.

So, I will speak like an older person and I will speak about something different, something that is more a feeling or a personal impression than a contrasted new. I guess it is a consequence of being an artistic mind because sometimes I have this weird sensation for the beauty in general patterns.

So, yesterday, I was going to the Centre Library of my previous faculty sited on a green zone and universitary of Madrid´s heart. I was reading in French the book of Fred Vargas "Les vents de Neptune" (Neptune´s wind) and I was imagining this Canadian landscapes in winter with a plenty of lakes, a mass of forest and very cold in the air. I was trying to figure out how it would be the changing leaves at these places, thereby the public transport time died. When I was arrived to the metro station desired I could find this park called Moncloa.

I could pick up a bus (or coach) to arrive to the Centre Library of my faculty but I preferred to through this Moncloa Park, in spite of that means 15 minutes more. However, I have never taken this transport. So, I was walking a little faster to finish the last bureaucracy to have my diploma but I could feel this pure air and, suddenly, I could see a lonely tree without leaves between the conifere side, the ground was covered of a golden cover in a circle area. Time stopped. I couldn´t breath with such a beauty. Between the dark coniferes there was a kind of celestial tree that has born on ground with the cost of losing their leaves like they were wings from an angel. Unfortunately, I wasted several minutes in this position and I had to fix the last university things. So, I went away, keen on thinking about. Sometimes, I realize that I am an odd animal caged and unknown that no one and I can´t understand.

Finally, I had arrived and I fixed everything. They told me that everything had done and now, I must wait the receipt of my diploma that will be sent to my home. At the end, I am closer to have a little paper that show I have finished my degree 5 months ago. You know, Spanish bureaucracy, nothing in comparison with the Canadian.

And I passed to the Library  and I took 3 books in English about my degree to improve a little my vocabulary.

So, I finished there and I could go back to my home. Another time I had to choose the coach or my own feets. Do you know the answer, don´t you? Yes, I decided walking to the metro station.

I could enter in this park, covered by leaves that were drift by wind. They were traces of last rains. Coniferes were silenced like the park itself. I could see pigeons, black birds (Turdus merula) and little parrots (an invasive alien specie) on the green grass. There was no one with 3 persons like exception and then, I went up and down by little hills (It is a curiosity but these hills are a common origin at Local War. Indeed, at XVIII century a lot of people were killed there by Napoleonic soldiers and hundred years later, the stage of Local War, a war were foreign countries tested the weapons of WWII such as the Soviet "moscas" (flies ) and the German "Stuka" (or whatever it is written)).

So, finally this park is a kind of temple for lost souls, with coniferes and autumn trees. It seemed a paint with red, gold, dark and pale green, like colors, thereby you can figure out a little trace of their solemnity. I finished in a little water steam. Two black birds were watching me on the banks, shocked by the deed of seeing a human in that morning. The water sound was like a drug to me. It was magical. I know, I was dreaming in an alive dream. Surprisingly, I saw another time. I saw a golden color more intense than other. I could see the pieces of gold, a shiny sun on the Earth, whereas Sun lights went through out by branches and leaves. A lonely individual. I kept walking and I found 3 students below another golden tree, a tree like the first I had seen but huger and higher;  the trunk had several feets, a mission impossible to around with your arms;  they had leaves yet, in spite of there were ones on the ground. I had a lot of curiosity because this gold color was more intense than other leaves. My scientific mind was working. It wasn´t a Populus genre like other trees. It was odder and strange. I took a leave, while my mind was working and I got it. It was Ginkgo biloba, a fossil alive and Chinese like origin. Indeed, I think I said their name and maybe the 3 students that they were able to identify this tree, looked at me with a surprised face and, at the same time, if they were known the species name.

I guess, sometimes I can be very crazy and I think It is the reason I am lonely. People doesn´t have spirituality. Everything is physical in this life. Maybe I am a romantic lover from XIX century but this is dreaming one more time.

A dusk

Hi to everybody. I hope you will fine and right. In these moments, it is the dusk. Sun light is weak, with night wolves running for the sky. Blood is spread, with a pink color. The sign of the lost. Light goes out with shame, without looking at back. It knows he will be revived one moment.

First stars appear, with a pale shine. The black horse has come and the pink runs away. City lights come another time, with such a foolish sense of artificiality. Everything seems synthetic.

It is incredible that a simple car on your sight could do something like that. For an unknown reason, that image is linked with a memory. A memory of lost, a memory of shame. I guess I couldn´t see that model car again like I couldn´t see any more about Twilight films.

It is a bit curious, because I have never liked these books and these films. Did you know I have to go with her like an obligation? But, later, it turned into a sort of rite. Each year, we had to watch the new film with a silk and black bandage that used to hold our hands. It was a gesture of our love, a promise we had. "We will watch every film to the end".

Another broken promise like every promise. I don´t know but I think that getting older means understanding that nothing survives with the past of time, I think loneliness is inherited, promises are heavy lies that will be broken one day but, is this the life?

My worst defect is being a word man, I guess. Although now, I can´t say I will love somebody forever and ever because I know that dog barks more than bites.

Well, I am upset of being like that, like a little glass broken on the beach sand in winter.

One day, a person told me solitude is the greatest thing to understand, to know and to meet you. I don´t know but, if that is all I am, I think a bullet could be better.

Maybe the reason is so much time fighting against everything to have a degree and then, if you don´t see no light, no future, you may thing you wasted your entire life. I don´t know (another time). Maybe I am a worm that is waiting for being a butterfly.

One day, I have heard a Nat King Cole´s versioned song by David bowie:

"there was a boy, a very strange enchanted boy. They say he wandered very far, over land and sea. A little shy and sad of eyes"

I see me in these little words like a picture. Later, I have discovered that the same song was versioned for Moulin Rouge (a film that disliked me, though you know I dislike films in general).

Finally, the deeper obscure of the doom has painted my dear sky.

These little feelings I feel right know

Weather Forecast: Max 14ºC, Min 9ºC, rainy, no wind

Hello to all the world. I am here again after this one week break. I am so sorry but that time I felt like doing anything. It is a bit strange because I am not lazy and I love doing whatever but that time...  Maybe it is because of being unemployed, or because of  loneliness I felt and I feel. In addition, I read hardly newspapers these week. So, I feel odd as if I were in Lovecraft´ tales.

It is well known that currently situation in Spain doesn´t help. And this election thing with everybody talking about politics and saying "vote this or vote that". With any doubt, I think votes must be linked with our genes and I must be a kind of monster because in Spain, if your family used to vote and vote for right-wind, you must vote for this. I don´t believe in. Maybe it is why we are like this way but well, I guess I am upset of this little world and as many people knows, I need to go away and discover a new life. At least, I must find a bit of hope in human.

I believe I need a job to turn into an independent person, to forget loneliness and to feel better. With this way I will be fine and I won´t have any time to think in my poor life, like a bookworm but more boring. It is usual I am lonely , with no friends, with no love.

If love is a tainted thing which is used to hide your biological needs. If someone is in love with you because he/she loves you because he/she wants anything from you. Faith is lost and personally I see that in this life is more important a car and money for your partner. Maybe it is my experience, I don´t know but if you can´t pay a car, a weekly lunch in a restaurant or a weekly cinema ticket, if you can´t buy a lot of things or some travels, if you can´t pick up her since her home until her home, if you don´t do everything how she wants to,  NO ONE WILL LOVE YOU. And I say it in capitals. At 25 years old I have discovered nobody believes in this feeling in a pure way but It is hardly to say. I can´t understand how it is possible, maybe I must be alone in life.

Unfortunately, I have discovered too friendship exists while you can give something to the other person. It is annoying.

Maybe everything has a simple answer: maybe I wasn´t at the right time, at the right place with the right people. Therefore, I must think I need more time or I need to be in another country or I need to meet another people. Or maybe today is no time to thinking of, a day to be in bed, to look at another direction.

Like Platon said: I only know I don´t know anything.

this horrible nightmare (politics in Spain)

Hi, people!!!! I can say I have left you during a week at least because of several things such as, a cold and another Greek tragedy, lol. So, with the remaining of this flu, I have decided to write a little.

Okay, of course, this month is a bit boring with this Spanish Election´s thing. Here, you can switch TV channels and you will find at any time, people talking about politics. So, you turn off TV and you decide: "Oh, let´s go to the street. I ´m going to see Autumn leaves on the ground of parks" and what do you find? Yeah, more politics!!!! Everybody is talking about it, also in the biggest Park!!! Therefore, you can see such a huge spam advertising at the street and you will hear from each person a talking about this subject...

Finally, I fell in this hole and, as you can see, I speak about it. It is like a virus, like the flu. You look like fine and indifferent but one day, you are sick. Well, It is the same thing when an idea turns into an ubiquitous matter, like black matter.

So, I have read both programs but It is very curious to take a look in them. Mainly, I can summarize:

Mainly Left-wing political party:

-Improve renting house
-New taxes for banks, for money deposits and for nuclear and hydrological power plants
-Invest more money in public services
-Jobs and contracts more temporary

So, more taxes and more taxes (it looks like a Right-wing political party), more taxes to the people who saves money and for this kind of energy. Dear political chief, do you know hydrological energy is the cleanest? Just stop thinking in huge dams because it is possible make little dams and rectify all the negative impacts within mini hydrological. In addition, we have an excellent technology.

And what do you do with nuclear power plants? Will you down the investment in security? Will you build a lot of thermal power stations like in Germany?

And what about investing more money in public services when you have cut off 30% in health and education services? Have you changed your mind suddenly? Will you continue spending more than earned?

And what about more temporary jobs? With this way, enterprises could fire people more easily. I am not surprised with qualified people leave Spain... Because... It is very hard than one of 2 young people are unemployed and we have 21% of unemployment (the double of Europe statistics) (21% from a calculation which takes 2001 population).

Mainly Right-wing political party:

-Make people buy the 700,000 empty houses with economic incentives
-Create more jobs
-No spend more money than earned

Okay, this looks like a dream´s child, you can say you want to have more jobs, to sell every empty house but how will you do? At least, you say the most logical thing, you can´t spend more than you receive...

But no one talks about food, education and health policies. Nobody has said nothing innovative about Renewable Energies and, surely, we couldn´t achieve  2020 European Energetic goals ... So, you can understand my frustration when I hear these things...

Hi another time, people! I am bored here this evening of the Sunday and I have remembered that I spoke a little about the holydays of Halloween before the American fashion, that is holydays of saints in Spain.

Well, do you remember that I said in several villages from the Region of Extremadura, there are a tradition that consists on children sing a son to the neighborhood, like in US in these time? Well, I seek to know a little more and I have discovered that this is called  "Chaquetilla" or "a little jacket" and people gives what they have. I know I said people gives nuts and sweets but it isn´t true. People can give nuts, fig dried, pork sausage, black pudding made from pumpkins, quince jelly and sometimes sweets (what children wants to receive). Then, they go to eat them in the field. I don´t know their origin.

In addition, it is very curious because there were fruits with a candle in but, however, it isn´t a pumpkin but a watermelon. So, you can imagine your garden will be decorated with empty watermelons?

Anyway, this tradition is nearly disappeared because of American Halloween as people moved out this little villages to join to the city.

However, there are several sweets in this holydays if you can pay them, of course:

-Saints´ bones or "huesos de santo": made of marzipan and with a cover of syrup, they have different fillings. They have the form of bones. They are the most known and their origin is in Castilla and in Spain, mainly.

-Fritter or "Buñuelos": a pastry made of flour and sugar with different filling. Despite it is more common in Semana Santa holydays, you can find this sweent in bakeries in these holidays.

-Quince jelly with  different nuts: from Extremadura region and people eat it in the field with a special bread.

-"Pestiños": a pastry made of flour, oil and sugar and then fried with a cover of honey. Its origin are in Andalucía and Extremadura regions. It is more frequent in Semana Santa or Christmas holydays.

-"Gachas de leche" or "Milk gachas": a pastry made of milk, flour and sugar or honey which is eaten with milk and bread. It is tipical in Andalucía region.

-Chestnut roasted: mainly in Galicia region, because of we are in Fall.

-Panellets: made of a pastry of lemon, sugar, potatoes boiled, eggs and almonds or pine nut. Mainly in Cataluña region.

May be, one day I translate a recipe for you.


From the other hand, a part of religious sense, there was a kind of death veneration and some authors thought in paranormal activity this night between October 31st and November 2sd because of romantic culture which has a link between love, death and paranormal activity. So, there are a tale from Becquer called "Soul Mountain" or "El Monte de las Ánimas" and which is based on a local tale from the North centre of Spain in the region of Soria. I would summarize a little this tale:

<<So, in Dark Ages, a pack of knights of noble lineage were hunting in that Soul Mountain but they were back to their home because it was November 1st or "The Saint´s day" and they spoke that this name was due to a mysterious tale: Several years ago, this mountain was a property from templar. In times when Christians fought against Moorish, the King has demanded the help from templars to conquer Soria city, instead of demanding help from Castilian knights. As consequence, there had been a fight between templar and Castilian knights until the King solved it and their men buried all the deads in this fight in the fields of this templar mountain. So, people thought in night November 1st to 2sd, the souls runned with animals scared and no one could be this night in the mountain.

Finally, that group arrived to their home and the male character said he would give her a diamond like gift to the female character because it was a day to celebrate, the day of saints. She said this gift could threat her will. So, she said she had lost a blue neckerchief in the Soul´s Mountain and if he tried it, she would accept his gift.

Hi was scared about the idea but he took his horse because he thought that he could kill more wolves like he had done in the hunting.

Minutes died, hours died and he wasn´t back. She woke up because someone had said her name but it was just the wind. So, she listened Soria bells and it was November 2snd, the day of people dead, and she began to pray. She was very scared and she slept. The day had come and she woke up thinking anything had passed and there was anything to be scared last night. But, suddenly, she saw her necherchief in blood in her room. Her eyes knocked out of position... She died because of terror.

In this morning, when servants wanted to inform her that the male had died because of wolves, they found her immobile and dead.>>

Words and ideas in languages

Hi to all. Today I am a little twisted because I must set up clocks with an hour less. No, I don´t leave my country, unfortunately, and this is because of Daylight Saving Time (DST). Such an odd name to say that! Yesterday I have this subject with my French friend that sometimes there are words more appropriates in one language, for example, there is the word "aguantar" in Spanish which means different things such as to bear, to endure, to support, to withstand, to survive the past of time, to hold, to put up with something, to resist, to hold on, to hang on, to last and maybe another thing I have forgotten.

I will give you another example in French that maybe you know. There are words "gourmet" and "gourmand" and "glouton". May be, we can use then like synonims but we will be doing a fault. "Gourmet" means a person who loves the quality of food or drink, that is, he/she eats or drinks in order to identify tastes , while "Gourmand" it is a person who loves eating or drinking and who can´t resist to eat when he/she see food or drink, while "Glouton" is this kind of person who eats very much and a lot of food.

So, it is like a TV show when you speak another language because there are different ways to understand the life or to think about something in each language. It is a kind of challenge because in your language you use an only word to describe an idea and it doesn´t exist in the language you are speaking in that moment. And it is a curious thing because you can use words from another language to describe an idea with a misunderstood as consequence. In this way, my French friend who lives more time in Spain, have a lot of difficulties to speak with only French speakers. May be it is because mind of 2 or more language speakers is more global than people who speaks only one. Therefore, you can understand more things about life, about different cultures and, personally, I think it is a beautiful thing you can show an idea who doesn´t exist in your language and finally, that you can communicate with a foreign person.

May be you think I am crazy but not at all because every people who speaks more than one language can think like me.

Indeed, I believe language is the representation of ideas from one culture, from one way to see and understand the life. So, I find very useful as experience the fact of speak different languages but with one condition: always you must communicate with another person. You will say, "Oh, who is going to speak one language without this finality?" I can say that because, in Spain, there are several regions that speak more and more one language and people forgets the language that links us (the Spanish) with the consequence of, may be in 30 years, a person from Cataluña region could no communicate with a Spanish from another region.

And there are also these languages which have risks to dissappeared with the consequences of losing this way of thinking about like a lot of languages in India which have less than 100 speakers.

Spooky Halloween

Hi to all, we are next to this known party around the world. Yes, it s yet the weekend but most people will be in a party of curious customs, someone will be dressed like a spider man with no pants, another person in a Catwoman suit to show their fat to everybody and any guy dressed like a woman. "Dude, it s a party. Let´s dance!" Stop. Are you sure to dress like that? Because any usual person won´t be dressed like that, yeah, we know that you begin with an innocent custom and later  it comes that you are hangover and you don´t remember anything. So, there are 3 possible cases:

1-You are in the local commissary. Hint: put your pants next time, little friend.

2-You are a weird feeling in your... Do you know what I have saying about to be dressed like a woman?

3-You feel dirty with a terrible smell of alcohol.

Of, I will add an additional hint,  you can have a bad taste in your mouth. So, don ´t drink from the glass you find. Do you remember this scene in American Pie?

Fortunately, here in Spain, Halloween is new, despite, the crimes rise up in this days. Well, maybe I speak earlier because today is no 31st but I can say party nerds will go to be dressed this weekend.

I have seen the beautiful ,and strange for me,  landscape with orange decoration. For example, the pumpkin fields, the light´s in houses, garden´s with skeletons and Mc Donald´s clowns. As you can see in the pictures below. I guess someone has made the laundry in the City Hall of Quebec City (Canada) because no one could be notice it. You know, you can see a plenty of stupid things, with no sense, like puppets, vampires and wolf from Twilight and so on. Furthermore, most people wants to be tricked or have a good nightmare in live. Therefore, the main ennemy character of Saw would have luck to find new victims for their 66th film.
Poor celts, we have forgotten the sense of Shaman´s eve with the night more larger in this time. And now, we consider Halloween like Walpurgis´s night, the witchs´night!

Anyway, I find very amazing this party and their decorations in all the city, because people are happy and linked with their friends. But here, in Spain, it is very different and ,like I have spoken with my friend from Israel, it s more an emotional holyday.

The 1st November or "Sants day" most Spanish people go to cemeteries to give flowers and remember their civils dead. So, many people take these holydays to visit their villages of origin, to see their families and to remember their people. It is a day to remember the death in the catholical sense and it isn´t a party to be dressed. Nevertheless, people give candys (more precisely nuts, figs dried and others fruit dried) to children who sing a special song to neighbours, at least in Montanchez zone in the region of Extremadura . However, the majority of Spanish  go whether to the beach (if weather wants to) or to other countries.Well, there was not this tradition of frightened tales, in spite of two Becquer Tales in XIX century. But all this will change because we love party than the catholical sense we have.

Personally, I used to watch spooky films in this eve until the dawn until few years ago. And, last years, we used to have a special rol play game session. Unfortunately, this year seems to be cold with no plans. So, maybe I return to this childhood tradition I have.

Spanish university´s job fairs

Hi to all another one! I know It must begin with the apologies but I shall do because my life is like a tornado which doesn´t stop. I move for here, for there looking for a job, I break into a rich house, I rob a bank and so forth. So, you can see I don´t stop but I am not known like others twisters like the most of graduates in Spain, a Greek tragedy in others words.

Last week I have visited a job fair at my university and it was a bit pitiful because no one wants an environment scientist and only accept your cv if you want to go abroad and you speak 3 languages but you must pray to be employed. Yeah, it doesn´t matter you speak 3 but you must speak only English, German or Chinese and, of course, the Spanish and you will work in Spanish later.

In addition, in these universities´ job fair (at least in Spain), employers seek candidates to their internships (that is without a salary and you pay yourself your transport fees) or their practices ( that means you work like a normal employed, may be more time and with more responsibilities, and you will earn the minimum possible). Yeah, have you remembered this thing about contracts in Spain? Well, if you link this information with that a person can have a practice employee until 30 years old or a temporary employee forever, you realize the sad situation for a Spanish graduate who has wasted 25 years old and a lot of money to work free.

It is curious because you can hear such a foolish idea like that, Spanish graduates must cost as US graduates. Well, I say the background. Here all the education is "free" (paid from the taxes in your salary) until the post high school. Then, you have 2 paths (apart from working): study a job or pass a test in order to begin a degree. The costs are the following:
-80€ (about US100$) per year for study a job and  this sort of study have a duration of 2 years. So, 160e to sum.
-1200€ (about US1500$) per year for degrees.

These are the costs for high education more or less without the price of books, transport, allocation and so forth. Look at the cost per year for a degree. In this cost, a student pay a 1/6 directly because the rest is paid for the Government (that is from the taxes on each salary in Spain). Consequently, Government wants a university student pays the 6/6 and may be a little more if possible, despite each Spanish will have the same taxes in their salary.

Furthermore, Spanish is different because a degree can need more than the time estimated. For example, there is a degree of 5 years but this on the paper because the most people finish it with more years, may be because of selfish people but it is no a coincidence the most people need more time than the estimated. So have anyone thought about the possibility that degrees have a bad design? No, it have not! So, for example, the Bachellor of Science of Environment Sciences, there are 5 years old on paper but Education Service says that the most people finish it with 6 years old. Is it possible this in UK, for example? Not, it isn´t because if a UK degree have an estimation of 5 years, people finish it in 5 years. So, may be you have a degree for 36000€  with their ideas or up because Government wants to achieve US fees (with the other fees).

May be you say that is cheap in comparison with UK45,000 pounds (about 68,000€ or US81,000$), or CAN100,000$ (about 100,000€) or US100,000$( about 80,000€), per a 5 years degree in UK, Canada or US respectively. It is truth from several experiences that is you have a degree in US or Canada, you find a job with such salary which you can recover the money wasted in 5 years approximately.

Besides, the problem is the following, there will not be a help from the Government but a loan from the bank. So, if you can´t recover the money wasted until 15 years or up (if you have the luck of working) and if you must pay the interest rates for this loan, may be a usual Spanish student not rich would need 20 years to recover their inversion.

Like result, a Spanish Graduate will marry with the bank and the enterprise along all their whole life. Okay, I forgot we need buy a house and you need apply for another loan from the bank. So, we will be married twice.

Like this way, you can understand why Spanish graduates move to others countries to find a true job, while sharks (that are enterprises and banks) wish catch another slave at job fairs. So, I can´t say that is good luck to find a job in a university job fair.

Well, I must sleep a little because tomorrow I am invited in a conference about Renewable Energies in Spain, since 2010 until the future. I tell you something, I guess.

Spanish Day. Flag or not flag?

Hey!! How are you? Today is a big day here in Spain or it would be. I believe in US, French, Russia and other countries, national day is a day where all the citizens are proud. Here don´t and you will say: Are you killing me? I hope, lol. Not at all, Spain is a complex mix.



Let´s see, mind the remote case that nowadays German and Allies would have bad relations because of World War II. Thus, you can understand how it works in Spain. Unfortunately, people thinks there are 2 groups: extremes left and right winds. That is, they live in 30´s before the "local" war (indeed, all countries had joined for calibrate their armament before WWII) and they forget we live in a democracy where there is no political chases and we must think in everything we link us and don´t in our differences. So, if you switch Spanish TV, you will see how moderates winds speak like extreme winds like Spain has divided in these 2 groups. I guess It is truth all Wikilist have said.

Like consequence, there is no Spanish flag in our streets or in clothes because you will be consider like a "nazi". It is very hard to say. I don´t mind how an American could live without their flag but here it is the opposite. Surprisingly, they forget a flag is the representation of all Spanish people, all Spanish culture and all Spanish ideas and the forget... Well, It is Spain. Anyway, you can see a lot of people with UK, German and US flags in their clothes because people whether they have shame of showing the national one or they have fear of people could say if you show it. It is a pity because we aren´t joined. In fact, many newspapers and experts talk about Spain is a little federal state.

This is, our condition. So, you can understand why today is a holiday with our particular characteristics. Have a nice day!

A "Spanish" eruption

Hello, people. Uh, I seem very serious today but maybe I am tired because of looking for a job. Yes, it is. Spain is a mine of jobs. You can find all sort of work and scientists and engineers are demanded. Indeed, each person, who has finished a degree, works in less than a month. Okay, I was kidding you. Sorry for dreaming!

Today I am going to show an interesting new and it is true. I begin. In Southern Spain, in front of Morocco Coast, we have several islands called Canarias, as you can see in pictures below. There are a strange case, geologically.

They have been formed because of 2 phenomenon. One of them, it is the pression produced between the material from Mid-Atlantic Ridge and African plate, like this way: if we have a mount of clay and we push to an object located on front, clay rises up and it is the most common origin in islands.

But, there is also another phenomenon because there is a hotspot. You are telling strange words again, man! Take it easy. What is a hotspot in Geology? As word says it is a spot in Earth very warm like a flame from a "flamethrower" based on mantle who rises up lithosphere temperature until lava flows and new islands will appear with all this material that goes up. Hawaian islands are a good example of this case. Despite there are some theories, scientists can´t explain how a hotspot is formed. I guess you can read one of them in wikipedia.

Therefore, we have our background. In Spanish media, we have had news about earthquakes in Hierro Island in latest weeks (it is curious because at the same time Hawaian island has experimented an increase of earthquake and lake lava level in Kīlauea East Rift Zone (Big Island, Hawaii)). Everybody feared of a eruption and evacuation plans were set up, whereas Spanish Geological Service didn´t believe this deed could turn into a eruption. Nevertheless, today there are proofs recollected by fishermen which indicate it is possible a gas escape in 5 Km to the South of Hierro.

Fortunately, Spanish Geological Service believe eruption could be occurred 1Km below sea and enough far to produce human risks and consequently, it isn´t necessary to evacuate people. Anyway, the Geological Service doesn´t confirm an eruption but they believe it is very possible in next hours.

Finally, I wonder if the increase in solar activity in latest weeks is linked to Hawaian and Canarias activities. No, I don´t believe world will be destroyed in 2012 because some people thinks subatomic particles emitted by solar activity could increase earthquakes and eruptions. They must have seen 2012 film but there are no scientific evidences. Otherwise, this link between Hawaian and Canarias activities could be connected with the Sun storms or not, who knows? I will make the question to a classmate who works within Geological Service.

Fall is coming!

Hi to all! How are you? I hope you are fine! Well, as you can see, we begin having the appropriate temperature of this time. Finally, because here in Spain we are having an anomaly. Indeed, last summer has been delayed. Begun later, it have finished later. As a environment scientist, I can say nobody knows. Someone speaks about CO2 warming of Change Climate theory from IPCC. Others think our world is freezing. So, you can see there is a lot of theories. I guess one day I could focus one of each and their proofs and weakness.

However, there is something isn´t included yet, despite some scientist has said Sun is off and world is therefore freezing. Last month to the currently, NASA has discovered Sun is more active than last 150 years old. You know this because of sun storms that threat satellites or, if you have the chance, seeing an intense Aurora Borealis in certain regions. Yes, it is a deed sun is awake.

Therefore, I would make a question. How could an increase of sun activity concern us?

As always, we shall begin with the background because science can be heavy or easy to understand, according to the focus proposed. What is the Green House effect? I won´t say anything you don´t know but, basically, because of dense atmosphere energy can be hold and we have more than -18ºC. Yes! I speak seriously, without this effect life could´nt exist. So, we have the system built like this way: there are energy inputs and outputs and one reservoir (our planet). Accordingly, if we consider energy outputs are constants, an increase of energy inputs could make more warm our planet.

Consequently, we could have a Climate Change with more rains globally, less ice superficies with their consequences in natural and human dimensions. Mind of there will be more rain but this won´t mean more magnitude storms like Al Gore says (because such deed will mean a freezing of global climate). Otherwise, I consider this increase could mean a lot of lives because of bad urban planning everywhere, with a lot of population in coasts, slopes and near to rivers. Of course, it is possible more consequences in such a complex phenomenon.

However, humans think in short term! And now it is more important the risk over satellites, while no one write about sun activity importance over climate. For this reason, I wanted to inform a bit to all people because my work-mates are blinds and they don´t see beyond the theory they follow. You know, a IPCC scientist will always think like IPCC theory and they will say: CO2 is the guilty!!!!

Finally, you know you must be more careful with sun baths. Choose a good sun cream!

Me at Gamefest

Hey people, I am here again and I recognize it, it is unusual someone writes something at 2 a.m.!!! But I confess I am tired. Oh, no! I have discovered I am not a vampire. Damn!!!!! I was imagining biting some lady neck. No, no, no like Twilight.  Are you killing me? I dislike this vampire teenagers with 6-packs and Volvo cars !

Well, I wish I had a Volvo or any car, lol. Do you see? Being a vampire is something exciting. However, I remember these huge moments I was tied to my ex-girlfriend watching the first movies of Twilight and I speak seriously because she knows I was afraid and I could run away. Smart girl, you knew it! Well, I guess It was easy because cinema get me bored. So, she must be think  one and one are two! Therefore, you could see me there in a bdsm torture.

As I begin to sweat, I will change the subject. Wait a minute. I must breath.

Do you remember I had a games fair on last Sunday? It was a huge day. I swear. Thanks Evil for this free ticket. Indeed, I have lost my soul.

First, imagine a Sunday where I was awaken before 8 a.m. but the nightmare had not begun until I joined my brother´s mates. Could you imagine an hour of conversation about Minecraft? Do you know what is Minecraft?

Minecraft is a wonderful game. You can install and you will see a landscape deformed by pixels. I tried to set my video card but, take it easy, the game is new and looks like a Lego game but with older appearance. So, you begin in a world with cows, pigs and other animals formed by squares. Everything is built by squares!!!!!!! I am going to breathe again. So, I was there in this wonderful square world and you will say, what can I do in this game? Is there any plot? Not at all. You are there and you can collect any kind of square (wood, animals and minerals, basically), build your own "house", hunt some animals, craft a hundred of objects and look for dungeons with a pack of monster (zombies and spiders). Yes, it is. It is the perfect game for nerds and there were private servers in order to experience the nerd dimension where freaky friends can craft rare objects. You could appreciate I love this game!!!

Therefore, imagine me with them... Speaking about how they fight against monster in dungeons and how they can craft objects. I was telling to me: why am I here if I am not a nerd?

Finally, we arrived the game fair called Gamefest and the nightmare continued... A thousand of nerds and someone with their cosplays (you know this people who want to be like characters they love) . For example, people with a bath robe but they will say  they looks like Magicka wizards. Ohhhhh, I fear your spells!  Anxiety was growing. "Oh my God, is this my punition?" I said several times.

In fact, it sucked because there are 2 things to play with a 3 hours queue and because of youtube trailers. For example, a trailer of Assassins Creed was showed and every nerd was very excited, despite it was a youtube video... I wanted to question to somebody: Man, have you paid a ticket to see this or have you also being invited to this kind of torture? No answer.

Uf, torture follows me!  At least, there were Need for Speed Cars such as Nissan Gt, Mustang Shelvy, two Porsche and one Aston Martin.  But I laughed when I saw Guild War 2 trailer because we can see how spoke-man was looking for it from youtube, step by step...  And someone could tell is like the US E3, no men! We saw the fair in half hour.

Finally, I could see my brother that had come from UK (who had invited me) and , like a heavy quest, he gave me my prize, a "Call of Cthulhu"  leather book from UK. Uhhhhhh, I have a leather book and I can manage a new role play game!!! At least, he thought like me, it was a cash grab fair and it sucked, in spite of you can use 5€ ticket to save 5€ buying games and you can use several ticket, so my brother will be able to buy something he likes.

Maybe you wonder if my brother´s friends gave up their conversation and I will be pleased to answer you. No! They were talking about more things about Minecraft!!!!! 4  damned Minecraft hours!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So you know the reason why I can sleep!!!!!! Have a good night!

Good bye White Night festival in Madrid (Spain)

Hello to all!!! This is me again and we are on weekend, finally! Unfortunately, I am not going to say a beautiful new because this night between October 1 to October to, it is the White Night Festival: that is, an art night where museums, theaters, are open and there are several cultural activities along hole the night. So, why am I so melancholic? Because of economic hole, again. Yes, of course. Here, in Madrid, each public service and each public activity is being minimized, while prix grows (for example, my brother who has been in Chentelham (UK), said there are the same prix there in spite UK have a double or triple salary). Given the bad country management of our government in last 8 years, it is not a surprise and we are under scope because of Mr. Zapatero, a man who only knows to waste money, while he doesn´t know manage our economy. Well, another time, I will speak about this socialism government because we are waiting the Democratic process end, next November 20.

Consequently, with a 21% of people unemployed (while UE or USA have more or less a 10%) and another lacks such as the National proud (may be Spain turns into a Federal Country with "several kingdoms"), the public health service collapse, the lost of sovereignty  because we didn´t make our homework in EU, the euthanasia law, four petrol spills blinded to society, Libia, Lebanon and Afghanistan war and so on, Spain have a difficult situation. So, there is a lack of money and we can´t maintain several services like Education Service with 20-30% less of national money (well, and how regions manage this reduction).

Therefore, Madrid city can´t afford White Night festival and there will be one each 2 years. So, good bye White Night 2011 season.

Wow, I am really fine after I have said it. At least, tomorrow I have a ticket for Gamefest, Spanish EA3 (a festival where producers of games present which video games will be in market next 6 months).
