Hi to all, we are next to this known party around the world. Yes, it s yet the weekend but most people will be in a party of curious customs, someone will be dressed like a spider man with no pants, another person in a Catwoman suit to show their fat to everybody and any guy dressed like a woman. "Dude, it s a party. Let´s dance!" Stop. Are you sure to dress like that? Because any usual person won´t be dressed like that, yeah, we know that you begin with an innocent custom and later it comes that you are hangover and you don´t remember anything. So, there are 3 possible cases:
1-You are in the local commissary. Hint: put your pants next time, little friend.
2-You are a weird feeling in your... Do you know what I have saying about to be dressed like a woman?
3-You feel dirty with a terrible smell of alcohol.
Of, I will add an additional hint, you can have a bad taste in your mouth. So, don ´t drink from the glass you find. Do you remember this scene in American Pie?
Fortunately, here in Spain, Halloween is new, despite, the crimes rise up in this days. Well, maybe I speak earlier because today is no 31st but I can say party nerds will go to be dressed this weekend.
I have seen the beautiful ,and strange for me, landscape with orange decoration. For example, the pumpkin fields, the light´s in houses, garden´s with skeletons and Mc Donald´s clowns. As you can see in the pictures below. I guess someone has made the laundry in the City Hall of Quebec City (Canada) because no one could be notice it. You know, you can see a plenty of stupid things, with no sense, like puppets, vampires and wolf from Twilight and so on. Furthermore, most people wants to be tricked or have a good nightmare in live. Therefore, the main ennemy character of Saw would have luck to find new victims for their 66th film.
Poor celts, we have forgotten the sense of Shaman´s eve with the night more larger in this time. And now, we consider Halloween like Walpurgis´s night, the witchs´night!
Anyway, I find very amazing this party and their decorations in all the city, because people are happy and linked with their friends. But here, in Spain, it is very different and ,like I have spoken with my friend from Israel, it s more an emotional holyday.
The 1st November or "Sants day" most Spanish people go to cemeteries to give flowers and remember their civils dead. So, many people take these holydays to visit their villages of origin, to see their families and to remember their people. It is a day to remember the death in the catholical sense and it isn´t a party to be dressed. Nevertheless, people give candys (more precisely nuts, figs dried and others fruit dried) to children who sing a special song to neighbours, at least in Montanchez zone in the region of Extremadura . However, the majority of Spanish go whether to the beach (if weather wants to) or to other countries.Well, there was not this tradition of frightened tales, in spite of two Becquer Tales in XIX century. But all this will change because we love party than the catholical sense we have.
Personally, I used to watch spooky films in this eve until the dawn until few years ago. And, last years, we used to have a special rol play game session. Unfortunately, this year seems to be cold with no plans. So, maybe I return to this childhood tradition I have.
