Hey!! How are you? Today is a big day here in Spain or it would be. I believe in US, French, Russia and other countries, national day is a day where all the citizens are proud. Here don´t and you will say: Are you killing me? I hope, lol. Not at all, Spain is a complex mix.
Let´s see, mind the remote case that nowadays German and Allies would have bad relations because of World War II. Thus, you can understand how it works in Spain. Unfortunately, people thinks there are 2 groups: extremes left and right winds. That is, they live in 30´s before the "local" war (indeed, all countries had joined for calibrate their armament before WWII) and they forget we live in a democracy where there is no political chases and we must think in everything we link us and don´t in our differences. So, if you switch Spanish TV, you will see how moderates winds speak like extreme winds like Spain has divided in these 2 groups. I guess It is truth all Wikilist have said.
Like consequence, there is no Spanish flag in our streets or in clothes because you will be consider like a "nazi". It is very hard to say. I don´t mind how an American could live without their flag but here it is the opposite. Surprisingly, they forget a flag is the representation of all Spanish people, all Spanish culture and all Spanish ideas and the forget... Well, It is Spain. Anyway, you can see a lot of people with UK, German and US flags in their clothes because people whether they have shame of showing the national one or they have fear of people could say if you show it. It is a pity because we aren´t joined. In fact, many newspapers and experts talk about Spain is a little federal state.
This is, our condition. So, you can understand why today is a holiday with our particular characteristics. Have a nice day!

P.S. 2: If you wonder If I like army, I would say I am pacifist and I trust on diplomacy solutions before the war chaos. Unfortunately, we live in a dangerous world and there is always crazy people.
