Fall is coming!

Weather forecast: Max 20ºC, Min 10ºC, Sunny without clouds, 10Km/h NE wind

Hi to all! How are you? I hope you are fine! Well, as you can see, we begin having the appropriate temperature of this time. Finally, because here in Spain we are having an anomaly. Indeed, last summer has been delayed. Begun later, it have finished later. As a environment scientist, I can say nobody knows. Someone speaks about CO2 warming of Change Climate theory from IPCC. Others think our world is freezing. So, you can see there is a lot of theories. I guess one day I could focus one of each and their proofs and weakness.

However, there is something isn´t included yet, despite some scientist has said Sun is off and world is therefore freezing. Last month to the currently, NASA has discovered Sun is more active than last 150 years old. You know this because of sun storms that threat satellites or, if you have the chance, seeing an intense Aurora Borealis in certain regions. Yes, it is a deed sun is awake.

Therefore, I would make a question. How could an increase of sun activity concern us?

As always, we shall begin with the background because science can be heavy or easy to understand, according to the focus proposed. What is the Green House effect? I won´t say anything you don´t know but, basically, because of dense atmosphere energy can be hold and we have more than -18ºC. Yes! I speak seriously, without this effect life could´nt exist. So, we have the system built like this way: there are energy inputs and outputs and one reservoir (our planet). Accordingly, if we consider energy outputs are constants, an increase of energy inputs could make more warm our planet.

Consequently, we could have a Climate Change with more rains globally, less ice superficies with their consequences in natural and human dimensions. Mind of there will be more rain but this won´t mean more magnitude storms like Al Gore says (because such deed will mean a freezing of global climate). Otherwise, I consider this increase could mean a lot of lives because of bad urban planning everywhere, with a lot of population in coasts, slopes and near to rivers. Of course, it is possible more consequences in such a complex phenomenon.

However, humans think in short term! And now it is more important the risk over satellites, while no one write about sun activity importance over climate. For this reason, I wanted to inform a bit to all people because my work-mates are blinds and they don´t see beyond the theory they follow. You know, a IPCC scientist will always think like IPCC theory and they will say: CO2 is the guilty!!!!

Finally, you know you must be more careful with sun baths. Choose a good sun cream!
