Today is the most important eve for Spanish´ children because it is the magic. In these moments, every child is sleeping and willing for wake up soon but, what is the reason?
Oh, it is very simple. There is Santa in most countries (even in South America) , the Befana Witch (or whatever) in Italy and here, in Spain, the 3 Wise Men called locally "Reyes Magos" (Magician´ Kings would be the translation).
So, today you could see the 3 Wise Men parades throughout Spain, in each city, in each small villages. Personally, I love which Parade made in Madrid city. It is magic. There is a lot of creatures from the imagination: elves, forest´s creatures, TV characters, musicians, jugglers, creatures who come with the 3 Wise men. A lot of children at streets. It is awesome because there is illusion in their eyes and they are trying to get sweets thrown by Parades. I don´t know but I love when people is happy. A good feeling goes through my mind.
Then, children goes quickly home and soon they get slept but, before they put something to the 3 Wise Men such as bread, milk, turrón... and they put their shoes under the Christmas tree or closer to the Belén. They know it is very important because they will have presents if they have been good during the last year.
And tomorrow, children is getting asleep to check their presents and having a special breakfast based in a local sweet called "El Roscón de Reyes" made from flour, rum and other ingredients. It is a recipe very, very complicated but has a good taste. Furthermore, it can be find only in this time.
I remember one thing, one different thing, maybe because of the night, maybe because of dates, maybe because it is about her, my angel. I reminisce one issue. Maybe she is working in these moments. Well, I say it. In their home they were invented a play, a magic play to keep alive the feelings of this night. It is a play consisted on 3 components: a background (more or less a decoration), a mystery (that is a code which closes how to know where are and which are the presents of each one) and finally, the presents with such special decoration. So, they work all the 5th eve to transform the living room in another world who teaches you how to dreaming. It is awesome. For instance, one time there was a lot of cotton lines in any position, they were cotton everywhere like a snowy ground and there was a letter written who could be read with UV light. Soon, I understood where was my present and I discovered one in a weird suit made of cotton. She could make me dream and I have always difficulties to have illusion. She got it. My loving darling, my lost angel.
