Hi to all!
Today I am going to tell us a tasty event happened last weekend from 18th to
21st April, "5th Ruta de la tapa en Móstoles".
It is a
gastronomic fair which crowded bars and restaurants in Móstoles -the second
city in Madrid region after the capital of Spain.
Hold on,
what´s it a tapa? A "tapa" is a snack served with your beverage.
Actually, It used to be a custom to provide a tapa with your drink in almost
all Spain. Today, you have to know very
well the place to discover one bar or restaurant which have free tapas as
before.
What was "La ruta de la tapa en Móstoles"? It was an idea so as to activate local tourism in these hard times. With
only 2€ you could drink a beer plus a designed tapa. Each one of the 53 locals
had a specific one.
How to
start?
Firstly,
begin with one of the bars and get the full map of bars adhered to the fair
with its creations.
Then, draw your specific route of tapas which you
are interested in and have a good meal!
After that,
when you asked for one tapa, the local would stamp that you tasted it in your
initial map.
What is the
purpose?
If you
tasted 5 or more different tapas with your qualification, a 100€ meal would be
given by draw of participants. Besites, the tapa with more points would be
elected as the best tapa in Móstoles.
My personal
advice
In my
opinion, I recommend you to choose delicacies along the rest and look for a
place where you can find a sit at least.
In my case
I ate 6 tapas between 2 days.
-One of kitchen
-very usual because my friends wanted to dinner. It was a piece of kitchen
breast with tomato sauce, nothing special.
-Anchovies
with quail egg- only a bit for nibbling...
-Tortilla de patata with Jamón Serrano
-A salmon toast
And the
turn for the delicatessen.
-Sirloin
toast with a shot of Gazpacho
(a traditional Spanish liquid meal with flavors of salad) and mushrooms
as garnish
-Sirloin toast
a la crème roquefort with peppers and quail egg as garnish.
